A tier list is just a ranking with named grades instead of numbers. The classic grades are S (the very best), then A, B, C, D going down. People make them to settle debates, share opinions, or start a conversation. Here's the whole process on Tierlist:
Click the title at the top and type what you're ranking — "Pixar movies", "office snacks", "our group project ideas". A clear topic makes the list worth sharing.
Type item names into the add box, separated by commas, and press Enter. They land in the Unranked tray at the bottom.
Drag each item up into the tier it belongs in. On a phone, tap an item and then tap a tier row. Rename a tier by clicking its letter; add or remove tiers with the ＋/－ buttons.
Click Copy share link — the entire list is stored inside that link, so anyone who opens it sees your ranking and can remix it. Or click Download image to get a PNG you can post anywhere.
Because you don't need one. Nothing is stored on a server — the tier list lives in the URL. That means it loads instantly, works offline once open, and there's no sign-up wall between you and ranking your snacks.
